Family members and first responders of mass shooting victims testified before Congress today. Said the mother of a boy who survived the Buffalo massacre: 'It is your duty to draft legislation that protects Zaire and all of the children...in this country.'

Rubio was among family members and first responders of mass shooting victims who were invited to testify on the hill."We seek a ban on assault rifles and high capacity magazines. We understand that for some reason, to some people, to people with money, the people who fund political campaigns, that guns are more important than children. So at this moment, we ask for progress," she said.

"Given the opportunity, Lexi would have made a positive change in this world," said Rubio, who described her daughter as "intelligent, compassionate, athletic."
