The village of Buffalo Grove has renewed its contract with WM waste haulers. The three-year deal, which takes effect May 1, 2024, includes a rate increase.Buffalo Grove’s latest contract renewal with waste hauler WM – or Waste Management – is in effect as of May 1 and includes a rate increase for services for the first time in years, according to village officials.
Officials say inflation and the increased cost of doing business are the main reasons for the rate bump. According to a fee chart on the village website, rates for garbage pickup and recycling range from $18.21 to $25.78 and include fees paid to Solid Waste Agency of Cook County.
