Jele ended a 16-year stay with the Buccaneers at the start of the season, turning down an offer for a non-playing role as he looked to continue his playing career. He has since made three appearances for Royal AM.
The 36-year-old however continues to be held in high regard buy the Pirates hierarchy with the view to recruit him for a technical role at the end of his illustrious career.Meanwhile Maela has taken up the captain's armband at Mayfair and is aiming to follow in the footsteps of 'Magents'. "Happy is someone that I look up, just the way he did things on and off the pitch. In the conversations we have had the advice he's given me been to just stay myself and not change who I am now that I'm captain.
