Should Wemby have been named on any All-NBA squad?
SAN ANTONIO — After exceeding expectations in his rookie campaign, San Antonio Spurs' Victor Wembanyama is looking to eclipse what he did in year one next season.
And Milwaukee Bucks' Damian Lillard believes Wemby has the potential to be the best player across the league. "I think by next season people gonna be talking about as being the best player in the league," LillardIn his rookie season, he led all rookies in points , rebounds , and blocks per game. He also ranked fourth in assists and second in steals per game.He also became the first player to average at least 20.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks in fewer than 30 minutes per game in a season.
He took home the 2023-24 NBA Rookie of the Year Award, was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team, and received multiple Rookie of the Month Awards, which is the foundation for his becoming the face of the league soon.What is scary for all competitors next season is that he admits he is not close to his basketball potential.
