Protestors in bucks county gathered on presidents day, calling for ice to be abolished and opposing recent raids.

Local lawmakers, faith leaders and members of the community gathered for a “No ICE, No Kings” protest in Bucks County . NBC10’s Brian Sheehan has both sides of the issue. Protestors filled a basketball court in Sellersville on Presidents Day to condemn the actions of ICE and President Donald Trump's administration.

"On this Presidents Day, we declare that these are not political issues or partisan issues," Rev. Philip Krey said."ICE must be abolished!" Krey attended the second"No ICE, No Kings" protest. Jane Cramer and other organizers with"Upper Bucks United" held the first one on Presidents Day last year. "It's very simple: no ICE, No Kings. We want people to become more involved in their local politics, because that's how we fight back against ICE and that's how we make change in our country. We have to start at the local level and work our way up," Cramer said. including this one which turned into a standoff at a home at upper Providence, Montgomery County last week. ICE agents eventually took a man into custody who they say was in the country illegally and interfering with the work of federal investigators. "It's getting closer to us all the time," Albert Coffman said."It's not just Minneapolis. Like somebody said, it's Newtown, Norristown, and the problem's getting this way. They're locking up our neighbors, and I'm fed up with that."A White House Spokesperson told NBC10 in a statement this afternoon that ICE agents are 'facing a 1,300 percent increase in assaults adding: ICE officers act heroically to enforce the law and protect American communities. Far-left organizations that point the finger at law enforcement officers instead of the criminals is simply doing the bidding of criminal illegal aliens. Many of the protestors told NBC10 they will continue to take to the streets and let their voices be heard until these types of raids are no longer happening here or anywhere in the U.S.
