The Buckeye Trail Association is striving to achieve National Scenic Trail designation for the 1,454-mile Buckeye Trail, spanning Ohio's diverse landscapes. This recognition would bring increased federal support, enhanced visibility, and expanded opportunities for community and economic development.
BRECKSVILLE, Ohio -- The Buckeye Trail Association is attempting to secure National Scenic Trail designation for the 1,454-mile Buckeye Trail , which spans Ohio ’s diverse landscapes, connecting 47 counties and more than 100 communities
“Thanks to generations of BTA volunteers, staff and a vast network of partners, Ohio’s Buckeye Trail is already a force of nature,” said Andrew Bashaw, executive director of the BTA. The National Park Service will host public meetings around Northeast Ohio to gather input for this initiative. Ohioans are encouraged to attend and show support.
Following the concert, the health fair resumes at 4 p.m., offering additional opportunities to connect with local organizations until the event concludes at 5 p.m.Cameron Ryba, superintendent of Strongsville City Schools, will present the State of the Strongsville City Schools at the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce business luncheon on Feb. 18.
At the heart of the program is the Drone Olympics, an extraordinary event where students become engineers, researchers and international ambassadors. Seventh-grader Evany Davis said: “I enjoyed getting to be a part of the Drone Olympics. I loved the fact that I was able to have creative freedom in the prop I made.
Students explore emerging aviation opportunities, like the Cleveland Clinic and Zipline’s innovative drone delivery partnership launching in 2025.
