Eric Bretschneider , 44, passed away after a "short, difficult, and intense battle with cancer," Buckeye Donuts said. He dedicated half of his life to the beloved campus institution, starting in the early 2000s, transitioning from a customer to an employee, and eventually taking on various roles before becoming the general manager .
"Eric was our General Manager, but he was so much more than that," Buckeye Donuts said in a heartfelt social media post. "He truly did everything in the shop—line cook, catering coordinator, donut finisher, and countless roles in between—putting his heart into everything he did." Bretschneider joined Buckeye Donuts in 2003 and graduated from Ohio State University in 2005 with a degree in computer science.“How do you sum up a guy who spent half his life working at our shop? You can’t, really. Eric was one of one. There won’t be another like him.
