Buckeye Cruise for Cancer urges fans traveling to the Cotton Bowl to consider adjusting their flights to Thursday due to anticipated severe weather in Texas.
Buckeye Cruise for Cancer, an organization that partners with Travel Partners in Dublin, has a charter flight departing from John Glenn Columbus International Airport for the Cotton Bowl. Derrick Lauth, Senior Director of Logistics and Sales for Buckeye Cruise For Cancer, advises individuals flying in on the day of the game to consider switching their flights to Thursday. American and Delta airlines are already adjusting flight times due to anticipated weather conditions, Lauth confirmed.
The organization has been coordinating with the football playoffs and a company in Dallas to ensure optimal flight times and arrivals. Although the game will be held indoors at AT&T Stadium, the primary concern is the severe weather expected to hit Texas. Lauth recommends those with Friday flights attempt to secure Thursday flights as Friday is anticipated to be the worst day, with ice being a particular concern. Upon arrival, it's crucial to account for potential traffic and road conditions. As of Wednesday, the game remains scheduled, so it's important to confirm any flight changes before canceling
