The Bucs’ offense regressed this season, finishing 21st in yards per game and tied for 17th in points per game . In 2024, the Bucs were third in yards per game and fourth in points per game . Baker Mayfield’s completion percentage fell from 71.4 percent last year to 63.2 percent this season, and he went from 41 passing touchdowns last season to 26 this season. Coen had replaced Dave Canales, who left after 2023 to become the Panthers’ head coach. Canales replaced Byron Leftwich, who was fired after the 2022 season.
