The Buc-ee's on Interstate 35 is getting a 240-foot-long car wash.
The Texas chain of colossal travel centers plans to build a 5,647-square-foot car wash tunnel at its
travel center in New Braunfels on Interstate 35, according to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.doesn’t hold world records for biggest convenience store, car wash, Guinness says Built in 2012, the New Braunfels travel center is 66,355 square feet, or 20 times the size of the average 7-Eleven. For now, it is the store’s largest location and will eventually be eclipsed by three new 75,000-square-foot Buc-ee’s, one of which will be located in Tennessee and the other about 60 miles east of San Antonio in Luling.
The car wash tunnel in New Braunfels is expected to be 240 feet long and could serve about 12 vehicles at a time, Jeff Nadalo, Buc-ee’s general counsel, told
