While officials are still in the final stages, filing the petition makes the process public and signals serious progress.Buc-ee’s travel centers are known as roadside destinations, often featuring dozens of fuel pumps, a big retail space, and a wide range of food options. From its famous brisket sandwiches and pulled pork to the beloved “Wall of Jerky” and expansive spice section, the chain has built a reputation for turning pit stops into experiences. Beyond the snacks and souvenirs, Perry says the potential impact could be significant. She says the project is expected to bring good-paying jobs and generate new revenue for the area.
