BTS member J-Hope’s “Jack In The Box” Hope Edition debuted at No. 1 on the daily physical album chart in South Korea with more than 500,000 copies sold on the first day of release.
According to Korea’s Hanteo Chart, the “Jack In The Box” Hope Edition album sold 519,476 copies on the first day of release on Aug. 18, or an equivalent of 675,319 physical record index score, which Hanteo now uses to rank albums by combining total sales and album price. “Jack In The Box” was previously released as a Weverse Album, allowing fans to download the tracks via the Weverse Albums application in addition to streaming platforms.
At 2022 Lollapalooza, J-Hope made history as the first Korean artist to headline a major US music festival.
