With Philippine economic growth having fallen below target last year, a 25-bps cut is all but assured next week, they said.The US central bank, which lowered interest rates by 100 bps in total last year, announced a pause last week as the American economy remained strong and inflation was still some way off from returning to target.Monetary authorities around the world, Remolona said, had learned to do things 'gradually except when there is an impending hard landing.
