New Toreros coach Brandon Moore 'upset, hurt and troubled,' but short on answers as program digs into investigation

Determined digging by the university’s student newspaper led to the firing of longtime coach Pat Fitzgerald, a flurry of rump-covering and concerns that bled into other sports.
There’s no way to know the scope or depth of what USD is investigating, because the university is muscling those sorts of relevant answers into the shadows. Is it three players? If so, that’s one thing. Is it 21 players? If so, that’s entirely another. Hazing, bullying or whatever shape the situation at USD takes no longer ranks as teenage misunderstandings or lapses in youthful judgment. In 2023, players know better.That means some chose to do something questionable anyway. They decided to engage in an activity or activities disturbing enough to merit a stop sign for a team chugging toward a new season.
The player, Moore said, is the one who triggered the staff becoming aware of the situation. Is that player still a member of the team?Can you reassure the public that this does not approach the mess at Northwestern?
