Bryan Patrick, 4, finished writing his first book and now aims for the Guinness Book of World Records title of 'World's Youngest Author.'
Bryan’s story seems to come straight from a storybook itself. It’s a journey from an obsession with letters to writing a book all by himself. His parents, both educators, Eleanor and Ervin Patrick, noticed his unique fascination with the alphabet when he could spell words like “axolotl,” a type of salamander.
His love became a project, creating an alphabet garden with the help of his parents in their backyard where each letter matches a plant. “None of this is anything we planned... he had some ideas and we just rolled with it," said Eleanor. His parents are tasked with figuring out an appropriate grade level for Bryan because of his advanced abilities. However, they emphasized that Bryan’s achievements have been largely self-taught.
