Police arrested a Brunswick man Sept. 1 after he threw a nearly full can of energy drink at a woman in a road-rage incident at Fry and Hummel roads in Brook Park.
A Brunswick man, 35, was arrested at about 10 a.m. Sept. 1 after he threw a nearly full can of energy drink at a woman in a road-rage incident at Fry and Hummel roads.
The victim exited the freeway at Snow Road, and the man followed her. At the Fry-Hummel intersection, the man cut in front of the victim, preventing her from moving forward. Police tracked the man to his Brunswick home and spoke to him from his porch. He said the victim’s car had cut off his truck on I-71, almost causing him to crash. In retaliation, he cut off the victim’s car.
The man said he did not follow the woman off the freeway, adding that he just happened to be traveling in the same direction. He admitted exchanging harsh words with the woman, but said he threw the energy drink onto the ground in frustration, not at her.
