Updated: Dec. 17, 2024, 12:12 p.m.Hundreds of local crafters and holiday shoppers converged on the annual Brunswick Craft & Gift Fair at Brunswick High School Dec. 14.BRUNSWICK, Ohio -- For nearly three decades, holiday shoppers seeking unique, handmade gifts have made the annual Brunswick Craft & Gift Fair at Brunswick High School an essential stop.
This year’s fair on Dec. 14 featured more than 130 tables and over 100 vendors, according to Brunswick City Schools transition coordinators Holly Lidel and Jes McClure.“It supports all of our special education programs, and some of the students are also able to sell their work.” Shoppers and vendors alike were excited to see the wide variety of gift ideas filling the East Cafeteria and lining the adjoining hallways.Her husband, Nathaniel Wilkinson, said he enjoyed how the items are handcrafted and how the fair provides an opportunity for vendors to “show off their hobbies.”
Vendor Patti McCarthy has been selling items like her handmade signs and “unpaper towels” at the Brunswick Craft & Gift Fair for the past four years.Barb Smith, owner of Valley City-based Bee Dee Zine, started making designer bags, purses and totes six years ago.
