Springsteen made a triumphant return to the stage as he resumed his long-awaited tour on Tuesday night but some fans took notice of his appearance.
“Absolutely thought this was Tilda Swinton in a new role where she plays a wrestler.” a fan wrote on X alongside a shocking photo of the musician, 74, wearing a plaid shirt partially open revealing his chest.
Springsteen played a nearly three-hour set that included all of his greatest hits, alongside his longtime E Street Band.A month later, both Springsteen and his wife Patti Scialfa, 70, tested positive for COVID-19.“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows,” read a statement posted on his Instagram. “We’ve been having a blast at our US shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon. Love and God bless all, Bruce.
“Bruce Springsteen has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice,” an Instagram post read. “With this in mind, and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be postponed until 2024.
