The future of Auburn basketball got a bit bigger on Friday. Peyton Marshall, a 6-foot-11, 310-pound center, committed to Bruce Pearl and the Tigers.
Marshall is from Marietta, Georgia, and is a four-star in the 2024 class, per 247Sports composite. He’s the 11th-ranked center and No. 88 prospect overall. He is Auburn’s first signee in the class.Marshall is a dynamic addition to the frontcourt, giving Pearl another player with length. Marshall can operate around the rim and, predictably, use his size advantage to establish space for shots and rebounds.
“Defensively, Marshall is the type of physical presence that is a constant deterrent for opposing drivers inside the lane. ... The concerns will be his mobility and ability to keep up with the tempo at the next level, but both of those areas will come in correlation to his conditioning.”in the 2023 class. The 2022 class is making its impact with Yohan Traore and Chance Westry. That group ranked 20th in the 247Sports team rankings.
