The Browns head into an important stretch of games with some important questions answered after a win over the Cardinals.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Browns just needed to show up and take care of business on Sunday, beat up an overmatched one-win team coming to their home field. They needed to see their quarterback put together four quarters and turn the page to two huge division games the next two weeks.
Watson’s final stat line doesn’t exactly match what we saw on the field, but the Browns got a chance to test his limitations and figure out where he’s at physically. He finished the game 19-for-30 passing with 219 yards, two touchdowns and 22 rushing yards. He seemed to get more comfortable as the afternoon went along. They can gameplan accordingly now for an important division game.
Browns fans have aged in dog years over the last month as the Watson injury saga has unfolded. After all of it, the Browns managed to go 2-2 without their starting quarterback and have made it through eight games of the season with a 5-3 record.
