At the half, Henry had minus-7 yards on four carries. He ended with 20 yards on 11 rushes. It was his worst performance since he had only 30 yards on 11 carries against the Eagles last season.
But he’s still undeniably one of the best backs in the league, and this defense and system look very different than 2020. And this season, he’s been off to a hot start, with 95 scrimmage yards against the Chargers in Week 2 and a rushing TD. That was his sixth-straight game with 95-plus scrimmage yards, the longest active streak in NFL.Last season, this performance would simply not have been feasible from this group.
On Sunday he stacked the box , and the Titans opted for a lot of runs up the middle, a plan that would be futile. With the Titans frazzled, the very next play Myles Garrett and Ogbo Okoronkwo got to Tannehill and sacked him for a loss of 8 yards.It’s early in the year, but this defense looks like the real deal.
