Browns tight end David Njoku is active for the Ravens game despite suffering burns Friday night.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Browns tight end David Njoku wasn’t about to let a burned face and hand stop him from facing the Ravens on Sunday.
Njoku, who suffered significant burns on Friday night top his face, arm and hand when lighting a firepit in his backyard, was active for the game on Sunday. He walked into Cleveland Browns Stadium wearing a mask over his face to protect the burns. It remains to be seen how much Njoku will play, but his presence even on a limited amount of snaps would help.
Njoku is the Browns best blocking tight end in addition to being one of their top three options in the passing game. He’s third on the Browns will only 10 receptions for 92 yards, but is expected to have much more production as the season goes along. The fact Njoku is active came not long after news broke that Deshaun Watson will sit out the game with his sore right shoulder.Recommended Browns stories
