The Browns must have a Plan B at kicker with Cade York struggling.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Browns have seen enough from their struggling young kicker Cade York and are cutting him, a league source told cleveland.com.
York, their fourth-round pick in 2022 out of LSU, was made expendable when the Browns acquired kicker Dustin Hopkins Monday in a trade with the Chargers for a 2025 seventh-round pick. York’s last straw was having his 43 yard potential gamewinning field goal attempt in Kansas City blocked with 54 seconds remaining a 33-32 loss. It was the second straight game he failed to nail the gamewinner.
He also missed two potential gamewinning field goal attempts at the end of the third preseason game against the Eagles Aug. 17. Just after the two-minute warning, York pushed a 47-yarder wide right, but was given a mulligan when the Eagles were flagged for illegal formation. He then overcorrected and sailed the 41-yarder wide left.
York made only 4 of 8 field goals in preseason and 8 of 8 extra points. He also had one missed field goal and one missed extra point nullified by penalties.
