Lack of first-round pick lowers overall draft grade of Browns' selections.
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The 2024 NFL Draft is over and so is the Browns self-inflicted time of not having a first-round pick because of the Deshaun Watson deal. The grades are in and the experts’ consensus seems to be a slightly above average ‘C+’ for the Browns’ selections.
Keep in mind that the Browns failed to take the Day 1 portion of the test because of said Watson deal. So one has to figure that the Browns grades would be adversely effected by not being able to make a first-round pick. Meaning that the six picks Cleveland did make should be graded closer to a ‘B’ than a ‘C+.’ This infusion of talent should also bode well for the Browns taking the next step on the stairs toward the Super Bowl this season.Last year of no first-round pick in NFL Draft for Browns: Crowquill
