Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos insists Tuesday night’s 5-0 drubbing to world champions was worth the value in the experience gained in preparing for the AFCON qualifiers.
For Bafana, they have the AFCON group stages qualifiers to deal with starting in June as they seek to secure a ticket to next year’s finals in Ivory Coast after missing the previous edition in Cameroon which was held this year. "We knew that it will be very difficult and therefore I said the result will not be important.
"The boys tried and the new ones I’m happy for them. There is more quality now than six, seven months ago, and we are ready for June," says Broos whose team was torn apart by the quality of France. "It was the experience because we are a young team. We don’t have the experience that the French players have. We don’t have the quality that the French have. These are the world champions.
