Police have arrested a man accused of brutally stabbing his Bronx girlfriend to death inside her apartment and severely injuring her son in a bloody rampage
According to police sources, 45-year-old Juan Rivas fled the apartment, located at 956 Sherman Ave. in Concourse, just after 6:40 a.m. on Feb. 28 — but police were able to catch up to him and take him into custody not long after they discovered the carnage he left in his wake.
When they arrived at the scene, cops found blood in the hallway of the third floor — which led them to a more grim discovery. Inside a nearby apartment, they discovered 42-year-old Yesenia Hall stabbed in the back, stomach, and neck. Her 16-year-old son was nearby, also with stab wounds to his neck and back. They were both rushed to Lincoln Hospital, where Hall could not be saved and was pronounced dead.
