Morton, 55, has previous ties to Detroit head coach Dan Campbell. He worked for the Lions as a senior offensive assistant in 2022 before joining Sean Payton’s staff in Denver as a passing game coordinator two years ago. Denver’s coaching staff has been picked over this offseason. If Morton lands the job, he will see a familiar face in Chicago. The Bears hired former Broncos tight ends coach Declan Doyle as their offensive coordinator on Sunday. Morton served as the OC at USC and with the New York Jets in 2017.
