Mike Klis joined Scotty Gange live on 9NEWS to discuss the latest on the Denver Broncos on Monday, October 30, 2023.

Meinerz, Surtain looking forward to playing against former Bronco great Von Miller. Players impressed by new owners' commitment with new headquarters project.Denver Broncos guard Quinn Meinerz and Denver Broncos running back Samaje Perine run the ball Aug. 10 in Denver. The Broncos’ powerful right guard was asked how running the ball 40 times a game, as the Broncos did in their 16-game skid-busting win against the Kansas City Chiefs nine days ago, leads to better pass protection.

For the first time since he was traded away halfway through the 2021 season, the Broncos will be playing in a regular-season game against their former star pass rusher Von Miller this Monday night. The Broncos play in Buffalo, where Miller is off to a slow start in his comeback from a second ACL surgery as he has zero sacks in five games.

“The name Von Miller speaks for itself,’’ said Meinerz, who played half his rookie season with Miller as his teammate. “He’s a phenomenal player. I think it’s going to be cool to be sharing the field against him. He’s probably excited, or whatever, but at the end of the day, we’ve got to go against the entire Bills defense, and they’ve got a great defense over there.”

“It looks incredible,’’ he said. “The ownership group has been nothing short of incredible here. They’ve consistently invested in not only us as players but also with the fan experience at the stadium. … The pictures look really cool, and I can’t even imagine what it’s going to look like. It’s a very massive project.”“Tons of advantages,’’ Meinerz said. “Everything’s going to be state of the art, based on science.
