Colts running back Nyheim Hines, starting in place of the injured Jonathan Taylor , suffers a head injury on the opening drive and is being evaluated for a concussion. That sets Phillip Lindsay, ex-CU Buff and Bronco, to handle most of the carries going forward tonight. Lindsay is a practice squad call-up making his Indy debut.Starting in place of Javonte Williams, Melvin Gordon III has been used frequently in the Broncos’ opening drive.
Through training camp, head coach Nathaniel Hackett said he expected Turner to start at right tackle when he got fully healthy. Kongbo, who has been on the practice squad since the regular season began, provides depth at outside linebacker in the wake of the Broncos losing Randy Gregory for at least four weeks to the short-term injured reserve list. In addition to Gregory, OLBs Jonathon Cooper and Aaron Patrick are also out Thursday.
