An emotional Brodie Croft was reduced to tears after helping Leeds Rhinos pay tribute to Rob Burrow with a victory over Leigh Leopards. The halfback was the star of the show as his two tries saw him inspire the Rhinos on an emotional night where they paid tribute to their legendary halfback, who passed away earlier this month at the age of 41.
And Croft's emotions poured out after the hooter, with the former Man of Steel visibly emotional before his man of the match interview. The relief of winnings, as well as its signficiance, clearly got to Leeds' latest star signing.Asked to explain his emotions, Croft said: "I can't, to be honest, I've been trying to hold it in all day. I'm so pleased we could get the result for Rob, his family and this crowd.
He continued: "I tried to keep it in and not think about it too much. I'm just thinking about it after the match now. I'll remember this day for the rest of my life, I'm so pleased we could get this result."
