Broadway Bridge at Hobby Airport has closed for maintenance and travelers are warned to plan ahead if they want things to go smoothly.

“It’s probably going to be finished before Memorial Day weekend,” said Augusto Bernal, director of communications for the Houston Airport System.Houston Airports System expects more than 900,000 passengers traveling over Memorial Day weekend from Thursday to Monday, May 29.During that time, Hobby Airport is expected to have an estimated 212,000 passengers; whereas George Bush Intercontinental Airport is expected to have around 704,000 passengers.
“Reserve your parking online because our garages are filling up. If you reserve yours online, you’ll be able to guarantee the spot in the terminal garage,” Bernal said. “That’s our key message for people so they don’t have to drive around and find parking while they travel this week.”
