NEW: a handwritten letter from Brittney Griner was delivered to President Biden today, pleading him to get herself and fellow American detainees back home. Griner has been in Russian custody since February.
While the entirety of the letter is being kept private between Griner and Biden, excerpts of the letter were shared.
