Brittany Mahomes is unapologetically herself, as she's always been, in her SI Swim debut.
“These women deserve to feel important and have their own facility so that they can perform at their best,” Mahomes said about the Stadium, which opened in March in time for the start of the NWSL season. “I hope this sets the bar for women’s sports everywhere and other cities continue to build around women’s sports.
Mahomes, who played college soccer at UT-Tyler, spent a post-graduate season with UMF Afturelding in Iceland. While overseas, she listened to who she was and learned that playing professionally wasn’t for her. She found sheLater, she took her love for soccer to the next level when she invested in the NWSL team in Kansas City. Her husband followed, joining the ownership group in 2023.includes Kate Upton, Chrissy Teigen and Olivia Dunne.
“As a girl from Tyler, Texas, who only really knew sports, never in a million years did I think I’d be in ,” says Mahomes. “I’m just so grateful for this opportunity.”“People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters,” adds Mahomes. “Whether that’s health and wellness, being a great wife or mom, or career goals, being the best version of you is the most important thing you can be.
