Panicked Brits flee Spanish holiday park nicknamed the ‘English campsite’ as it’s destroyed by massive fire
PANICKED Brits were forced to flee after a Spanish home park nicknamed the 'English campsite' was torn apart by fire.
The holiday park affected is known as Lazy Days Static Holiday Home Park but is known locally by Spaniards as ‘el camping de los ingleses’ - Spanish for ‘the English campsite’ - because of the large number of Brits who have made the site their home. The site is popular for its laidback lifestyle - as the name suggests - and for its convenience with supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and other services within walking distance from Lazy Days.
"The mobile home park of Pueblo fiesta Lazy Days suffered a large fire that caused great material damage. Any veterans affected were advised to contact Austin Tansley, chairman of the Mollina branch of the Royal British legion as crisis grants are available.
