It comes as reports claim the government is considering doing Covid-19 tests on arrivals in UK airports in order to kickstart the tourism industry. However, chief medical officers for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland reduced the threat level from four to three this week, saying transmission is no longer ‘high or rising exponentially’.
