More than 20 years on from Britney Spears’ highly-publicised relationship with Justin Timberlake, the singer is telling all. The now 41-year-old revealed that she fell pregnant during their relationship and “it was a surprise”. However Timberlake was not ready to be a father, leading to the decision to undergo an abortion. “It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much,” Spears says in her book The Woman in Me, as seen by People.
Spears was at the height of her career as a solo artist and Timberlake was the frontman of boyband NSYNC until 2002. Both singers went on to welcome children with Spears having sons Sean, 18, and Jayden, 17, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. Timberlake and wife, actress Jessica Biel have two boys, Silas, 8, and Phineas, 2. The highly anticipated memoir The Woman in Me is set to be released on October 24. It comes two years after she was released from her court-ordered conservatorship.
