England and Wales to be hit by 70mph winds as Met Office issues two-day warning

He said: “England and Wales continue to have sunshine and showers, some of the showers could be heavy with thunder, but overall the showers will probably be less frequent compared to the last few days and not quite as intense."Coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities may also be affected by spray and large waves as the wind lashes the UK.
