A house dubbed the "loneliest" in the UK has had £50,000 knocked off its price in the hopes of attracting interest. No 3 Blea Moor Cottages is located in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, seven miles away from the nearest town of Ingleton and a 20 minute walk from parking.
Built by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, who ran the nearby Settle to Carlisle line, the property is next to the Blea Moor signal box, the most isolated in England that Network Rail still staffs. According to the Mirror, the property is the last standing in a row that contained two other houses which have now been demolished.
Listed as having three double bedrooms, the house comes with a a store room, kitchen, pantry and living room. A description on Rightmove from agents Fisher Hopper reads: "Exciting renovation project in a stunningly beautiful location. "Plans will be subject to the necessary consents - this is in the heart of the National Park - but for the right buyer with vision, there is great potential here." Due to the unusual nature of the location, interested parties are advised that it is a 20 minute walk from the parking at Ribblehead Viaduct to reach this property."
