The pedestrian bridge, named after the former Queensland senator, stretches for more than 300 metres across the Brisbane River, while its mast reaches 77 metres above sea level. The bridge was paid for by the consortium that delivered the Queen's Wharf precinct, but will be owned by the state government.Mr Bonner served as a senator for Queensland in the 1970s and 1980s, and was the first Indigenous Australian to be a member of the federal parliament."The bridge looks fantastic.
