A call-out has been made for people to play the kazoo en masse as part of the festival's closing act next week.

"And it's the easiest instrument, apparently, in the world and so that makes it a really inclusive and accessible activity to do together as a community.Ms Bezzina said workshops had been held in the community to teach people how to play the instrument."But also, they're coming up with a tune that we will all collectively play together at the end of the big moment of warm up kazooing," she said.

Ms Bezzina said registration was not required to take part in the kazoo performance, with participants welcome to turn up on the day."We want to beat Melbourne, so we need 10,001 people to turn up and be part of it," she said.
