Brisbane City Council's CCTV network has captured almost 1,600 crimes in the past year, with a 20 per cent increase in incidents recorded.
Brisbane City Council releases footage from its CCTV network, which captured almost 1,600 offences in the past year.An additional 240 cameras have been installed in crime hotspots to combat youth offending.
The most common incidents caught on the surveillance system are disorderly conduct, alcohol offences, assault, and theft. "And also, in the cases where there's a speaker attached to the camera, communicate with the people involved."
