Famous NRL family, the Walters, are celebrating some amazing baby news. With one of the Broncos biggest matches of the season on the horizon, Daisy Kim Walters, weighing 3.8kg, was born, much to the delight of father, Billy Walters, and his dad and coach, Kevin. Daisy Kim arrived on Monday morning, via an emergency cesarean section at Mater Mothers’ Hospital in South Brisbane. And the Walters have explained all the surprising — and “distressing” — details of the birth.
” According to a statement, Rachel had high levels of meconium in her waters and scans revealed “the baby was in distress”. “I wanted a vaginal birth but knew by that stage it wasn’t going to happen. It was about whatever needed to happen to get Daisy out safely,” Rachel said. “There were so many people in the room but everyone was so calm and so sweet, everyone knew what was going on and took care of the three of us.” Billy, according to Rachel, was “calm and reassuring” throughout the ordeal.
