BrightSide Theatre of Naperville presents “A Little Night Music” Oct. 20-Nov. 5 at the Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall at North Central College in Naperville.
The music of Stephen Sondheim will grace the stage at Meiley-Swallow Hall for the first time in a decade. BrightSide Theatre of Naperville presents “A Little Night Music” at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays Oct. 20-Nov. 5 at the Theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall at North Central College in Naperville.
“The story unravels from there with the other people involved in their lives … there are a lot of fools in love in this show. It’s a comedy and a farce at its heart. It’s definitely a farce because of the silliness of what we do to get love and to have love and to be in love.” It’s set in 1901 and he’s fully embracing that era, he said. “Which is very new for BrightSide because we’ve never done that kind of period piece of costumes, wigs and a very Victorian, Edwardian kind of look,” he said.
