Brighton are expected to return with an increased offer to sign Leeds United star Georginio Rutter after seeing a £30million bid rejected., former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who is well connected at his old club, admitted he was surprised the initial bid was rejected, but expects the Premier League outfit to return imminently with an improved offer.
He went on to explain that any money made from Rutter’s sale should be reinvested into the squad to boost their bid for promotion to the Premier League. After narrowly missing out on promotion via the playoffs last season, Daniel Farke has been tipped to improve his squad in the transfer market over the coming weeks.Football InsiderRobinson was also not impressed by Rutter’s displays, labelling him “sporadic”, despite acknowledging the key role he played in Daniel Farke’s side.I’m surprised Leeds turned that bid down.
