The family-owned lamps and lighting business worked with the Smithsonian in the preservation of the George Eastman House, a national landmark.“When my grandpa went into it, lighting in home was a new area, making lamps out of whatever family wished to be highlighted, he’d make a lamp out of it,” said Bruce Bellwood, president of Tuthill Lighting, Inc. “We’ve made it to 100 years, all on Monroe Avenue, adds an even more special ingredient that way.
Bellwood mentions that lighting continues to evolve with the integration of LED lighting. However, he says the key to Tuthill’s success starts with being a good neighbor.
