Rochester, N.Y. Our Bright Spot shines on a group driven by sustainability.

Armstrong Williams takes on the news of the week and asks the questions you want answered. Don't miss our weekly town hall. Holy Childhood 's robotics team, the Roboducks , held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday, March 24, 2025, for new water fountains at the school, which were installed through an initiative started by the group.

The group of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities wanted to make a difference after finding out the school uses more than 440 plastic water bottles per week. They crafted an impactful proposal to school leaders, ultimately winning approval to bring water fountains back to the school's campus. To celebrate, the team cut the ribbon Monday on new fountains and received a plaque for their hard work. "One of the most amazing things I've seen over the past three years is their connection as a team, and the way that they have worked together, both in robotics class and outside in their classrooms and after-school program," said Shelly, the team's coach.
