PUTRAJAYA: The Putrajaya airspace will be closed for 60 minutes daily from tomorrow (Aug 26) until Aug 31 to pave the way for the National Day 2023 preparation and celebration.
As such, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia has issued the Aeronautical Information Publication Supplement to advise on temporary changes to the controlled airspace and air traffic management in and around the vicinity of Kuala Lumpur airspace.
"The objective of these changes is to ensure a safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic before, during and after the aerial flypast and para jump, taking into account the increase in the number of movements and the special handling needed throughout this event,” it said. As many flights are expected to arrive at and depart from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport shortly before and after the closure of airspace within the Kuala Lumpur Terminal Control Area , airline operators are advised to plan their flights to arrive or depart well before or after the closure to avoid delays.
