Think of the grossest thing that could happen in a bridal shop. Now make it as funny as humanly possible and add Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, and Ellie Kemper. That’s the food-poisoning scene in “Bridesmaids,” although it wasn’t originally in the script.video with Rose Byrne in which the two discussed various scenes from the 2011 film. "We just kind of made it our own. We don't want to see any vomit you can find a way to do your version of it." WESTWOOD, CA - APRIL 28: Director/executive producer Paul Feig, Universal Pictures Chairman Adam Fogelson, co-producer/writer/actress Kristen Wiig, Universal Studios President and COO Ron Meyer and producer Judd Apatow attend the Premiere Of Universal Pictures' "Bridesmaids" at Mann Village Theatre on April 28, 2011 in Westwood, California. “Bridesmaids” follows Annie, played by Wiig, who struggles to be her best friend’s maid of honor. Bryne plays Helen, another member of the bridal party, who constantly one-ups Annie in an attempt to give the bride several unforgettable experiences. In one scene, Annie takes the bridal party to a Brazilian restaurant right before heading to a bridal store to select bridesmaids’ dresses. While donning expensive dresses, everyone except Helen gets food-poisoning. WESTWOOD, CA - APRIL 28: Actors Wendi McLendon-Covey and Rose Byrne attend the Premiere Of Universal Pictures' "Bridesmaids" at Mann Village Theatre on April 28, 2011 in Westwood, California. "It was so fun to do that scene and to see ... everyone's version of not feeling well and trying to hide it. It was fun to watch the ladies do their thing,” the “SNL” star said of the moment. In 2019, director Paul Feig said Wiig was hesitant to include such a scene in the script. “I know when that idea was come up with, Kristen was kind of like, ‘Wait what? What’s going to happen?’ Because – very rightfully so – she was nervous that Judd and I, two guys who come from the rough and tumble world of comedy, were going to turn it into a guy’s version of a woman’s movie,” he told. “We wanted a big, physical water cooler scene set piece, as they call it in comedy, that could be super funny and active and really get some attention. But also none of us wanted to do a scene which is just going to be mayhem for mayhem’s sake. To us the funniest thing was just how everybody handles it up until the point when it all falls apart. Will admit to her enemy that she did something wrong? And so that’s really what that scene’s about.” Wiig received an Oscar nomination for co-writing the screenplay with Annie Mumolo, and several publications list “Bridesmaids” as one of the greatest films of the 21st century.A 30-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the killing of his mother after deputies found her dead inside an Auburn condominium.New data shows the state of Washington is still struggling to attract and retain police officers. As a precaution, Public Health is recommending that about 130 people associated with the school be evaluated for TB.Messages such as “proudly made by a woman winemaker” can increase women’s intentions to purchase wine — particularly when paired with feminine imagery like flow
