A BRIDE-TO-BE who rarely drank died after drinking "homemade gin" at a holiday park, an inquest heard.
Hull Coroner's Court heard how the friends spent the evening of October 12 drinking wine and cocktails, as Sarah chatted excitedly about her upcoming wedding.The inquest heard Sarah, a social worker for the elderly, died in her sleep after drinking "an excessive amount of alcohol" - a cause of death which shocked her family.: "We are all so devastated at losing Sarah and to find out that she died due to alcohol was a shock, as she rarely drinks.
Speaking of the moment he had to identify his daughter's body, Mr Howson said: "It has given me PTSD and broke my heart. Losing her has destroyed me.""Sarah was a lovely girl and a beautiful soul. She was very caring, humble, kind and spiritual and there was not a bad bone in her body."At the inquest into Sarah's death, Assistant Coroner Michael Mellun said there were no signs of foul play and that Ms Howson appeared happy during the weekend.
