The post suggested the former Green Bay Packers superstar was returning to play in the NFL in 2020. That couldn't possibly have meant what it sounded like, could it?"A true champion sticks to his or her calling," the message said."I will be coming out of retirement and making my return to play in the NFL for the 2020 season. Stay tuned for more #news!"
The image showed Favre in the aftermath of Green Bay's triumph in Super Bowl XXXI, getting interviewed by Terry Bradshaw.Favre, 49, is going to be back in Wisconsin this weekend as part of the celebrity foursome in the American Family Insurance Championship at University Ridge in Madison, playing nine holes Saturday with Jack Nicklaus, Andy North and Toby Keith. He's played in all four of the tournament's celebrity foursomes.
